First Lady Melania Trump Supports Christian Giving through Toys for Tots

First lady Melania Trump continues to focus her agenda on the health, welfare, and happiness of children and she recently participated in a Marine Toys for Tots event at Joint Anacostia-Boiling Military Base in southwestern Washington, D.C to deliver a heartfelt message.

During her time in the White House, she has taken the time to read to children, visit sick youngsters in the hospital and further her “Be Best” program.

“As a mother, I feel children are the most precious gift of all. As First Lady, I have made it my mission to shine a light on programs that provide more opportunities for children to succeed,” Mrs. Trump reportedly said at the Toys for Tots event.

Children were encouraged to create Christmas cards and include them in the gift boxes.

“Their mission to send messages of hope to children and motivate them to grow into responsible and patriotic citizens and community leaders is so important to our society,” the First Lady reportedly said. “I had been looking forward to this event ever since last year’s ended.”

Mrs. Trump is a devout Catholic who visited Pope Francis with her evangelical husband, Pres. Donald J. Trump, with a diplomatic White House envoy. She has also made pilgrimages to Holy sites such as the Western Wall in Jerusalem among others.

Her efforts as First Lady have primarily been to improve the lives of children through kindness, comfort, and giving. “I believe in the good work that Toys for Tots is doing,” Mrs. Trump reportedly said. She also donated 100 books toward Toys for Tots literacy programs and placed Be Best coloring books inside the gift boxes.

The CEO of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, retired Lt. General Henry Osman, called the First Lady the organization’s “Number 1 volunteer.” Toys for Tots is a national organization that accepts corporate sponsorship and donations from everyday people who want to make a difference in a child’s life. Twin Miracles Before Christmas

Although Christmas is widely viewed as the season of giving, it also marks the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. A Southern California woman recently experienced a miracle birth of her own.

Two weeks into Susie Rabaca’s last pregnancy she was diagnosed with severe myeloid leukemia and would likely not live to raise her children without a bone marrow match and donor. In a race against the clock, she and her family made pleas on social media. Already a mother of three, her story gained nationwide attention including that of country music star Carrie Underwood.

“Finding my match is everything to me so I can be here for the three children I have, and the two that I have on the way, it’s everything,” Rabaca reportedly said. “It’s so easy, there’s no painful procedure, there’s no surgery, it’s just swab your mouth and it’s as simple as a blood draw, and you can save somebody’s life, if not mine, somebody else’s.”

In the spirit of Christian compassion, thousands of potential donors added their names the list.

“With tears running down my face and my heart full of hope I want to say THANK YOU LORD! And thank you from the bottom of my heart to every single person that has said even 1 prayer for me and my family,” she reportedly posted on social media. “Thank you to my family, friends, people around the country that I don’t even know that have shown support and especially that have signed up for BE THE MATCH!!!!! Journey isn’t over but a huge step forward!!! Thankful for you all lots of love! Keep Praying thank you!!!!”

Within days of giving birth to the twins, her prayers were answered.

“Hi I would like to introduce my miracle twin babies to all you who prayed for them cared for them asked about them every day!! Here is my Rainey and Ryan They are doing great healthy happy and hungry lol,” she reportedly posted. “They truly mean the world to me and because of all the support and prayers I got my MATCH and get to LIVE and be the best mommy I can be!! THANK YOU!!!”

The mother of five is awaiting her bone marrow transplant so that she can raise her family. A true Christmas miracle and blessing.
