It’s not over until the fat lady sings. Or, in this case, perhaps, Hillary Clinton. What would seem like an open-and-shut case of victory in the Electoral College to most observers is a case of fraud to the camp of the Democratic candidate. Or at least, that’s how her advisors see it.
Hillary Clinton has thrown her hat into the ring with Green party candidate Jill Stein to challenge the results of the election in three crucial swing states—Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania—and attempting to make members of the Electoral College switch their votes reduce Trump’s tally.
In theory, if she pushes hard enough and gets enough cooperation, she could overturn the results of the election; it’s possible for this to happen, but the number of cooperating actors she would need is unrealistically large.
Isn’t it funny that the Democrats wanted Trump to swear that he would accept the results of the election, but now, they themselves are trying to change the results after the fact? To any reasonable citizen, this likely appears to be the height of hypocrisy.
But, rather than laughing, conservatives should be concerned about these efforts, no matter how remote a chance they have of succeeding. Trump already said he wouldn’t prosecute Hillary for her various pre-election scandals, so why is she attempting this sour-grapes maneuver?
Perhaps now Trump should reconsider his offer; the Clintons have shown time and time again that they’re unrepentant for their actions.
