Every Christian will go through doubts from time to time. This is especially true when we are new to the faith, when we are still learning the ropes. How do you really know you are saved, especially when you are still sinning?
First, ask yourself a serious question: Do you believe the Gospel?
That’s really important. Do you truly believe that Jesus rose from the grave three days after multiple eyewitnesses saw him die on the cross? No one else in recorded history has done anything even close to that. If you believe in the impossibility of that act – raising oneself from the dead after three days – then you’re saved. This supernatural miracle defies all of the scientific and medical knowledge of the past 2,000 years, so believing that Jesus did in fact accomplish this is proof that you are saved.
You might not feel like you are saved because you are judging yourself against other Christians who “make it look easy.” Talking to those Christians for just a few minutes would help to dispel your doubts. Most of us will tell you the same thing: We are the least in God’s Kingdom and we are all miserable sinners, who are only saved by the grace of Jesus Christ.
Allen Parr breaks down this tough question which most of us have to wrestle with at some point. Watch the video below for even more ways to know for sure that you are saved!
