When you look at much of the news coverage since the conclusion of the presidential election, you’ve undoubtedly been exposed to the anti-Trump protests, violence and vandalism going on throughout the United States right now. While it is the right of every American to conduct a peaceful protest, these protests will not have any effect on our government or policies.
It is rather strange to see cities in California protest the election of the head of a real estate company and entertainer when the state itself elected The Terminator as governor, in addition to Ronald Regan the actor. One also might wonder if JFK ran today, would he have even been elected with all the news coverage of affairs and political cover-ups?
Sadly though, people are not treating their fellow Americans with respect following the election. We’ve been taught it is better to win with grace and not stoop to the level of those protesting. To show them that you are better than those throwing temper tantrums.
And better than the mother who kicked her son out of the house for voting for Donald Trump in a mock school election. Yes, an actual mother kicked her son out while he was hysterically crying in fear, simply because he voted for who he thought would be the better president.
