Planned Parenthood is responsible for the deaths of thousands of babies – all of them the most innocent of victims living inside their mother’s womb. Last year alone, 328,348 babies were killed at Planned Parenthood clinics throughout the United States. So for Cecile Richards, the president of the country’s largest abortion provider in the country to say, “Every person has the right to live,” is absolutely incredulous.
Of course the “persons” she is referring to is not that of unborn babies, but instead her quote was directed toward the nearly 800,000 young undocumented immigrants that were brought illegally to the United States as children.
Commonly called DREAMers, this group of people found protection under President Obama with the establishment of a program called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Under this immigration policy, the DREAMers were protected from deportation. Under President Trump, however, the program is in jeopardy of getting rescinded.
The decision has not been an easy one for the president to make. Earlier in the year Trump stated, “DACA is a very, very difficult subject for me, I will tell you. To me, it’s one of the most difficult subjects I have because you have these incredible kids. We’re gonna deal with DACA with heart.”
More recently, following a meeting with Democratic leaders, Sen. Chuck Schumer and Rep. Nancy Pelosi that focused on DACA and border control, the president has “agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides.”
No matter what happens to DACA or the DREAMers, Richards has stated she is “heartbroken” over the possibility of the program being put to an end. “Here at Planned Parenthood, we firmly believe that every person has the right to live, work, and raise a family freely and without the threat of deportation or separation… We believe in every person’s right to control their own destiny and their own body.”
The Planned Parenthood website also states, “We will not silently stand by as DREAMers and DACA recipients, many of whom are part of the Planned Parenthood community and rely on Planned Parenthood for health care, are stripped of their rights and protections. We at Planned Parenthood will continue to see patients regardless of who they are or where they’re from – no matter what.”
The concern for the wellbeing of illegal immigrants is quite interesting, considering the beginnings of the abortion giant, which began in 1916 when Margaret Sanger founded the country’s first birth control clinic. Besides being a birth control activist and sex educator, Sanger was also a racist and eugenicist who is quoted as saying, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.”
Here are some statistics to prove that abortion is helping to do just what Sanger had intended in eliminating the black population:
- The abortion rate for black women is almost 4 times that of white women
- On average 900 black babies are aborted every day in the United States
- Black women have a significantly higher abortion rate than whites and Hispanics
- With Hispanics outpacing blacks in population growth, African Americans are no longer the nation’s largest minority group
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the website, TooManyAborted.com, “Abortion is the number one killer of black lives in the United States. More than HIV. More than heart disease. More than cancer. Abortion snuffs out more black lives than all other causes of death combined.”
But Planned Parenthood doesn’t just provide abortions for the black population, they actually strategically target black neighborhoods. When running for president, Dr. Ben Carson said, “I’m not objective when it comes to Planned Parenthood. But you know, I know who Margaret Sanger is, and I know that she believed in eugenics, and that she was not particularly enamored with black people. And one of the reasons that you find most of their clinics in black neighborhoods is so that you can find a way to control that population.”
For an organization that was built on a firm foundation of racism, it does not seem as though the president of Planned Parenthood is entirely genuine when it comes to caring so much about what happens to the DREAMers. In reality, she knows that if these young people get deported, it will mean less business for her organization.
