President Trump’s First Commencement Speech Delivers Powerful Message to Christians

Standing as a bold flame in the darkness, Donald Trump addressed an audience of 50,000 at Liberty University as he delivered his first commencement speech as The President. Trump delivered a “fight the good fight” message just as apostle Paul had delivered to Timothy. The President spoke these encouraging words of truth to 18,000 Timothy’s graduating into their assignments all around the world.

“Remember this, nothing worth doing ever, ever, ever came easy. Following your convictions means you must be willing to face criticism from those who lack the same courage to do what is right – and they know what is right, but they don’t have the courage or the guts or the stamina to take it and to do it. It’s called the road less traveled.”

Trump is the second sitting president to deliver a commencement speech at Liberty University. In spite of a few students making statements in 2016 “Trump is the antithesis of our values,” the President received a warm welcome and plenty of applause on Saturday, May 13TH, as he delivered words of value.

The President acknowledged the political elephant stampeding through America; shredding the very fabric of its beautiful design. “In my short time in Washington, I’ve seen firsthand how the system is broken. A small group of failed voices who think they know everything and understand everyone want to tell everybody else how to live and what to do and how to think.”

An Ambassador of God, Donald Trump, confirms the refreshing truth that when hearts are filled with the eternal truth, the value of service, sacrifice, and devotion “…we don’t need a lecture from Washington on how to lead our lives.”

The graduating class of Liberty University knows the words of instruction written in Romans 12:2: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Trump passed the flaming torch of a commission to eager hearts filled with truth. “You must go forth into the world and turn your hopes and dreams into action. America has always been the land of dreams because America is a nation of true believers.”

The President of the United States reminded the graduates that “when the pilgrims landed at Plymouth they prayed. When the founders wrote the Declaration of Independence, they invoked our Creator four times, because in America we don’t worship government we worship God.”

Jerry Falwell JR., shared with The Associated Press in a telephone interview, “I really don’t think any other president has done more for evangelicals and the faith community in four months then president Trump has.”

Trump’s message in his first commencement speech at Liberty University has gone beyond Lynchburg, Virginia. The President’s message is filled with truth and hope for all Christians across the land…and he has just begun.

Standing in the gap Trump boldly proclaims “America is better when people put their faith into action. As long as I am your president, no one is ever going to stop you from practicing your faith or from preaching what’s in your heart.” God has heard the cries of His people and continues to make a way where there was no way.

Trump has strategically maneuvered the taking back of lost ground in the spiritual realm and challenges America to put their faith into action. He reminds the students and all people of all the blessings received and the opportunity to live in such a beautiful land that many call home. And now – how will those who “have ears to hear” respond to these questions that the President of the United States of America has boldly asked.

Trump asks “…what will you give back to this country and, indeed, to the world? What imprint will you leave in the sands of history? What will future Americans say we did in our brief time right here on earth? Did we take risks? Did we dare to defy expectations? Did we challenge accepted wisdom and take on established systems? Or did we just go along with convention, swim downstream, so easily with the current and just give in because it was the easy way, it was the traditional way or the accepted way.”

Jesus says in Mark 8:38, “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words…the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes…”
