Establishment Republicans are having a huge change of heart! As GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has muted his tone slightly and appeared more dignified in front of the nation’s press corps and at recent campaign events, more traditional Republican politicians such as Lindsey Graham (who once said he would never vote for Trump) are warming to him.
As Graham notes in the interview below, “Hillary Clinton is the most flawed candidate in generations… If [Trump] can become more solid in judgment and temperament and keep doing what he’s done in the last week… he could actually win.”
Graham is also pleased that Trump is in favor of a strong military. “On the military, he’s talking about a bigger military… I’m all for Donald Trump wanting to have the strongest military in the world — I just hope he’d use it wisely.” Graham now believes that Trump will win South Carolina, and if Trump can continue polishing his image, Graham thinks he has a real shot at winning the general election.
