Steve Bannon, the chairman of Breitbart News Network, has been hired to head up Donald Trump’s campaign for the presidency. Bannon has a superior track record at news outlet Breitbart News, helping the conservative website become the dominant player in political online media. Breitbart reached one billion page views for the first time in 2015 and scored in the top 10 of all media publishers ranked by advertising bible Adweek.
The site handily beat out competitors such as The Huffington Post and CNN for popularity according to research group NewsWhip. Breitbart and the Sirius XM satellite radio program Bannon hosts daily helped make him “the most dangerous political operative in America,” according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
As the most respected player in conservative online journalism, Trump could not have chosen a more qualified and motivated leader for his campaign. Breitbart has his finger on the pulse of American politics and is one of the best-positioned people to guide Trump to victory in November.
