Given the fact that most mainstream scientists are ardent believers in the theory of Evolution, it is surprising when they are forced in spite of themselves to confess that their cherished theories regarding the origins of animal and human life are not as accurate as they originally thought.
Such a moment occurred recently when Mark Stoeckle from The Rockerfeller University in New York and David Thaler from the University of Basel in Switzerland conducted and published a joint study that came to the startling conclusion that 90% of all animals and humans on the face of the earth came into being at exactly the same time.
Naturally, this isn’t news for those who are familiar with the Biblical account of creation that clearly states that God made sea animals and birds on the fifth day of creation and then created land-dwelling animals and humans on the sixth day of creation.
However, the new study does upend the scientific consensus that animals evolved over millions of years and humans only came into being after many of these animals, such as dinosaurs and mammoths, became extinct. In fact, as David Thaler recently told once news outlet, he fought against the study conclusions as hard as he could.
The researchers suggest that one explanation for the fact that humans and animals came into being at the same time would be that a large catastrophe wiped out life on earth about 100,000 to 200,000 years ago. Program for the Human Environment Directory Jesse Ausubel cites a number of possible causes for this phenomenon, including viruses, new competitors, ice ages and loss of prey. Interestingly, at least some of these things may very well have occurred after a flooding of the Earth.
A global flood would have changed earth’s temperature, causing an ice age. This in turn would have affected animal life, leading to a loss of prey. Animals and humans migrating in search of food and shelter would have upset the balance in the food chain, leading to new competitors moving into areas they did not inhabit previously.
Another surprising fact the researchers discovered is that species with large, far-flung populations won’t become more genetically diverse over time. Naturally, those conducting the study are eager to hold to their opinion that such an event did occur about 65 million years ago when a comet ostensibly wiped out a great deal of life on the planet.
However, the study doesn’t help this theory hold up as it makes it clear that genetic diversion isn’t taking place today and there is no possibility that it will take place at any point in the foreseeable future. In fact, the conclusions from this study clearly show that there are very clear boundaries between the species that cannot be crossed at any given time.
It is also worth noting that, as research biologist Nathaniel Jeanson accurately notes, this newest study pokes far more holes in evolutionary theory than the researchers care to admit. Mitochondrial DNA clearly shows that modern humans only came into being within the last 6,000 years or so.
If evidence clearly indicates that animals came into being at the same time as humans, it proves that there is no long-term evolutionary chain of animals evolving from a common ancestor for millions of years before humans came on the scene. Indeed, the research proposes an evolutionary timeline that is far shorter than the billions of years commonly cited in mainstream textbooks—as well as pointing to some event that caused life to suddenly explode on Earth.
While the study is being hailed by mainstream scientific news websites as revealing new facts about the theory of Evolution, the truth is that, in spite of the researchers’ intentions, the only facts revealed by this breakthrough study are one that directly contradict some of Evolution’s basic tenets.
The study not only makes it clear that animals and humans came into being at the same point in time but also indicates that a worldwide catastrophe took place at some point in time that wiped out most living things.
Furthermore, the study shows that while small changes in human and animal DNA occur over generations, these changes don’t have much effect on development and, in fact, species have clear genetic boundaries.
In this case, its also plain to see that science has put up a huge case for creation. Score one for Christians!
It is not hard to see that even secular scientists who honestly examine the evidence are coming to the conclusion that the theory of Evolution is far from being an accurate, factual account of how the world came into being.
