Trump’s Shift in Attitude towards the CIA Raises Eyebrows

Donald Trump is not someone to mince words. If he has a problem with someone he will tell them what he thinks. This is true not only for opponents of his during the campaign trail but also since taking office.

For example, over the last two months before President Obama left office he and his administration kept telling the public that Russia was responsible for influencing the election. It seemed like for weeks the president would speak daily about Russian hackers, and sanctions.

As you can imagine, Trump did not like this characterization that Russia had influenced the election. Rightly so he criticized the CIA reports on Russian hackers because to suggest they are the reason he is president negates the voices of the 62 million plus people who voted for him who were voting for change. In fact it was not Russia who got Trump elected, but in fact was the American people who did not want to stand by as another socialist, corrupt politician took office and seemingly ignored them for another eight years.

It is important to note that the CIA may have been instructed by Obama and his administration to release these kinds of statements and information on Russia. That’s probably why when newly inaugurated President Trump stopped by the CIA headquarters he was greeted warmly—they don’t necessarily agree with President Obama’s opinions.

President Trump spoke to around 400 CIA employees and his tone, at least to the employees, came off a bit differently than when he talked with the heads of the agency. See for yourself this shift in President Trump’s attitude towards the CIA by watching his speech to them and judge for yourself what is going on.
