Trump’s Wall Would Protect Americans from This Unnoticed Risk

Liberals love to turn a blind eye to illegal immigration. Surely that has nothing to do with the fact that a large majority of illegal immigrants vote Democrat. But, despite the bleeding heart narrative, that once again tries to win debates by seizing a moral high ground, conservatives understand that these parents are trying to do the best they can for their kids.

No one begrudges their intentions. In fact, these parents are likely unaware of the harm they are really doing.

The reason the U.S. has a legal immigration process isn’t to turn people away at the border. If that was the case, then this wouldn’t be the country with the most legal immigration for the past few decades. Instead, the legal process is primarily there to keep accurate records. That enables schools to receive adequate funding and do right by their students.

If these Mexican families went through the legal channels, their kids would receive a better education as a result. This simple truth is this: if the U.S. could eliminate most illegal immigration, it would be able to process roughly twice as much legal immigration.

Closing the border doesn’t hinder access to the country. It just enables us to accurately account for everyone.
