Ben Carson was once an opponent of Donald Trump. While his campaign didn’t turn out as he would have hoped, he remains a prominent political figure and one of the top professionals in medicine.
Due to this, when someone accuses him of being a “prop” in the Trump campaign, he really could care less for the comment. After all, he is a busy man, and wouldn’t deal with a campaign and lousy interviewers if he didn’t truly believe in Donald Trump and his policies. So, when biased news reporters ask him these kinds of questions, he in turn gives them what they deserve.
In the news industry, there is a common saying of “you receive a stupid answer when you ask a stupid question.” Ask a good, quality question and you’ll receive a quality response. Mr. Carson went off on reporters, telling them he is far from a prop and they shouldn’t ask him such racist questions because the reporters are the ones objectifying him and nobody else.
