Hollywood actor, director and legend Clint Eastwood isn’t having any of the political correctness of today’s media culture, saying that when he was growing up, the kinds of comments that he regularly sees lambasted on social media and by press commentators wouldn’t merit a second mention.
“Everybody’s walking on eggshells,” the icon declared when speaking about today’s ‘PC’ attitudes, but “secretly, everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up.”
The movie star, well known for playing cowboys and cops onscreen, doesn’t mince words when he voices his lack of regard for today’s youth culture, asserting, “That’s the kiss-ass generation we’re in right now.”
Eastwood also stated that he’d be likely to support Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump because Hillary Clinton is all but sure to follow in Barack Obama’s footsteps and continue the current president’s failed policies.
The star’s “empty chair” speech aimed at Obama at the 2012 Republican National Convention is fondly remembered as one of that event’s more memorable moments. Click here to watch the video.
