During the final months of the presidential campaign, Donald Trump said multiple times that if he was president, Hillary Clinton would end up in jail. Well, Donald Trump, now President-Elect Donald Trump, is less than two months away from becoming the official President of the United States. That likely means Hillary is starting to sweat a little bit.
After all, even if nothing is pulled out of the emails at all, she still deleted them and sent classified information through an unsecured home based server. That not only indicates the potential of guilt, but in a more specific legal term, it is obstruction of justice.
And, if you are anyone without the last name Clinton, you end up in prison. So, does that mean Mrs. Clinton will end up in jail? Not necessarily.
This isn’t to say Donald won’t go after Hillary. While it is now Donald’s job to bring the country together going after Hillary may not help with that.
However, the decision may be taken completely out of his hands. Generally, in the final 100 days, the President of the United States issues pardons. He does this in the final hundred days in order to avoid backlash and other issues.
When asked whether or not the President would pardon Hillary Clinton for her crimes White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest responded cryptically essentially leaving the door open for such a thing to happen. Watch the video to hear Josh’s exact words for yourself.
