Throughout Donald Trump’s campaign for president, liberals were appalled and angry that Trump appeared to be a merciless bully, accusing people like Jeb Bush of being “low energy” on national television and denigrating celebrities such as Rosie O’Donnell.
But surprise, surprise — when people say they’re supporters of Trump, they open themselves up to endless streams of verbal abuse (and sometimes even violence!) from liberals. Tim Allen knows this, and he doesn’t think it’s fair. He recently appeared on Fox to talk to host Megyn Kelly about it.
Some of Trump’s behavior he attributed to “bad timing,” but among reactions from liberals, he gave some examples of prime offenders, such as model Gigi Hadid. Recently, Hadid cruelly mocked Melania Trump’s accent at the American Music Awards.
On Saturday Night Live, Alec Baldwin has made a running gag of his Donald Trump impersonation. On ABC’s “The View”, host Whoopi Goldberg slammed Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway when Trump had unexpectedly risen in pre-election polls.
And Rosie O’Donnell has even gotten into the act, too, viciously accusing Donald Trump’s young son Barron of being autistic (could that be why Trump has hated her all these years?).
The fact of the matter is that in slam after slam, progressives and liberals are all too happy to engage in behavior that they previously deemed offensive in conservatives.
